Dr. Linger

General Surgeon

Dr. Linger is a local bariatric and trauma surgeon. After completing his surgical residency at Vanderbilt in TN, he moved to the central LA area to help with the surgical needs. He is driven to bring access to care to central Louisiana. He has spent the last several years expanding his surgical clinic availability while still assisting in the needs medical weight loss at Advanced Metabolic. In his spare time, he enjoys spending moments with his family.

Amanda Ford

Nurse Practitioner

​Amanda is one of the nurse practitioners on our team. She is an Alexandria, LA native who worked as an ICU nurse while earning her Masters degree in nursing. Her previous experience as an NP includes time at cardiology and urgent care clinics. When not busy with healthcare and expanding her knowledge of aesthetics, nutrition, & wellness, she spends time with her teenage daughter.  Her hobbies revolve around being a supportive dance mom, crafting, traveling and having new experiences with her blended family of 5. Educating patients is one of her favorite parts of being on the weight loss team! She is ready to give you answers and tips to help your health journey!

Sarah Rachal

Nurse Practitioner

Sarah currently works as a nurse practitioner for palliative care locally when she isn't helping our patients with medical weight loss. She has previous experience as an ICU nurse as well as being on the Trauma Surgical Team as an NP. It was during her time in the ICU, that she met her husband. When she isn't busy with the working on her second master's degree in nursing and medical weight loss clinic, Sarah enjoys time with her 2 daughters and stepson.

Ashley Tam

LPN, Practice Manager

Ashley helps ensure the clinic runs smoothly to make your experience at Advanced Metabolic Solutions is nothing shy of comfortable, professional, and unforgettable! Her background includes running a multitude of local clinics in areas of surgery and women's health just to name a few. In her spare time she coordinates parent club and helps with music at her church while also keeping up pace with her children at home.
